The National Energy and Climate Plan conference (NEPN)

18, Oct, 2019

The National Energy and Climate Plan conference (NEPN), organised by the Electro Maribor Distribution Academy was also attended by Mag. Leon Valenčič. He emphasised that the consumption of electric power in Slovenia has increased, where he highlighted the increase in the use of heating pumps and e-cars. Does this mean that electric power be more expensive in the future? Mag. Valenčič, the Head of the Energy and Power System Planning Department at EIMV believes that due to the enhanced burden of the network and costs of electric power plants, as well as due to the increase of electric power consumers, the price of electricity will increase in the future. "Electricity is PRECIOUS energy and will be too expensive to use it for heating or driving," he added.
