Slovenia-Japan Conference on Advanced Technologies

18. Sep, 2025

On 16 September 2025, the Villa Podrožnik hosted the Slovenia-Japan business conference: Advanced Technologies and Innovations for a Shared Future, organised by the SPIRIT Slovenia public agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport and with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Slovenia and the Japanese organisation JETRO.

Participants presented the latest solutions in hydrogen technologies and robotics, and discussed new opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

EIMV director of EIMV, Dr Uroš Kerin, also actively participated in the conference. In his speech, he presented the work of the Slovenian hydrogen consortium and its activities for the 2024–2025 period. He highlighted the importance of cooperation with Japanese partners and emphasised that "by learning from Japan, we are learning from the best in the world."

The EIMV's presence at the event reaffirms the Institute's role as a key partner in the development of innovative solutions in the fields of energy, sustainability, and advanced technologies, as well as its active role in connecting Slovenia with international research and economic environments.
