Recipient of the Faculty Prešeren Award

The first news this year refers to the success of our associates in 2019. Aleksandar Momirovski, one of our youngest researchers, received the Faculty Prešeren Award on 19 December for the best master’s thesis entitled “Electromechanical disturbance propagation analysis by means of continuum modelling”, prepared together with his mentor, Assist. Prof. Dr. Urban Rudež at the Electric Power Supply Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana.

Faculty Prešeren Awards are given by faculties for high quality and creative theses, and their recipients must also exhibit excellent study success. The awards are intended for enhancing the quality of science and research as well as artistic activity of students.

Aleksandar Momirovski finished his studies with excellent grades achieved at individual subjects and for his master’s thesis. Due to his distinguished success, he received the Dean Award on 18 June 2019. He continues his research at the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute, i.e. at the Electric Power System Control and Operation Department. He is a habilitated assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at subjects Electrical Engineering Bases I and II.
