Innovative EIMV®FlexIS flexibility platform developed

At EIMV, we have developed EIMV®FlexIS, an innovative platform for flexibility management designed for electricity distribution system operators.

The platform was developed by an expert team of researchers from the Electric Power Systems Control and Operation Department and forms part of the Slovenian pilot under the Horizon Europe EV4EU project.

Although the platform is primarily intended to harness the flexibility of electric vehicle charging and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, it has been designed with an open architecture, enabling support for a broader range of flexibility services and resources in line with Slovenia’s national Distribution System Operating Code.

Following successful functional testing, the EIMV®FlexIS platform is already in use at electrical distribution company Elektro Celje, where it has been integrated with other IT system and the national electricity distribution meter data hub EVT.

We are pleased that, through this platform, we are contributing to the development of flexibility services and the flexibility market in electricity distribution systems in Slovenia, the European Union and beyond, while continuing to serve as an important partner to the energy sector.
