EIMV's diagnostic excellence presented at an international symposium
26. Feb, 2026The 19th Symposium Energieinnovation 2026 took place at Graz University of Technology between 11 and 13 February. This year's main topic was “ENERGIZING EUROPE - Innovationen für eine zukunftsfähige Energiewirtschaft” (ENERGIZING EUROPE - Innovations for a Sustainable Energy Economy), where participants discussed key challenges and opportunities for a sustainable, secure, and innovative energy future for Europe, including issues of energy systems, grid infrastructure, renewable sources, flexibility, and network solutions.
This is one of the most important professional meetings in the field of electric power in the wider region, bringing together experts from academia, research institutions, and the electric power industry.
We participated in the conference with a scientific contribution entitled "Präventive Erkennung von Störungen und Fehlern bei Messwandlern" (Preventive Detection of Faults and Errors in Instrument Transformers), presented by Tanja Seme. The paper discusses modern approaches to the preventive detection of faults and errors in measuring transformers and emphasises the key role of advanced diagnostic methods in ensuring a high level of reliability, safety, and operational stability of electric power systems.
The fact that the symposium was held entirely in German language further confirms the international dimension of the event and the professional recognition of the Institute in German-speaking countries. Active participation and presentation of the contribution reinforce the role of the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute as an important research and development partner in the field of advanced solutions for electric power systems.
