EIMV at the IEEE EMC+SIPI international symposium in Dallas, USA
31. Aug, 2026From August 3rd to 7th, 2026, the IEEE EMC+SIPI 2026 international symposium was held in Dallas, USA, bringing together more than 1,500 international experts in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, signal and power integrity. Approximately 100 exhibitors presented their solutions and products.
The representative of EIMV, Urban Metod Peterlin, MSc, successfully presented a paper at the international symposium entitled High-Quality Substation’s Design: The Protection from Electromagnetic Interference. The paper aims to emphasize the importance of producing high-quality design documentation for a substation. The paper presents the main sources of interference in a substation that may adversely affect its safe, reliable, resilient, and sustainable operation. Assemblies, which are essential for the efficient performance of mitigation measures and are often insufficiently detailed during the design phase, but are important for preventing or at least reducing the penetration of electromagnetic interference, both unintentional and intentional, into sensitive equipment, are presented. A procedure for checking the adequacy of the documentation and the offer’s design is given.
EIMV's participation at the IEEE EMC+SIPI international symposium confirms the professional qualifications of our experts and their active and successful integration into the international professional environment. By presenting its own professional achievements, EIMV strengthens its recognition and reputation at the international level and positions itself among organizations that co-create the development of the profession with their knowledge and experience. The conference was also a valuable opportunity to (1) exchange knowledge and experience with leading experts from around the world, (2) monitor the latest professional guidelines in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and (3) transfer them into further professional work.
