EIMV and Kolektor Etra reveal key findings on insulating fluids at the Kolektor Etra 2025 seminar

At this year's Kolektor 2025 seminar held on 25 and 26 November 2025 in Bled, Biljana Čuček from the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute and Dejan Saje from Kolektor Etra presented a technical lecture on insulating fluids and their compatibility. They highlighted the challenges posed by the use of bio-insulating fluids as an alternative to mineral oils and explained why the right choice of materials is crucial.

They particularly highlighted the installation materials that EIMV has identified as incompatible. Kolektor Etra replaced them with more suitable ones at the design stage, as an inappropriate choice could lead to serious operational problems and a shortened service life of the equipment. The lecturers provided participants with an insight into the latest research, international guidelines, and key differences between insulation media, which will have a significant impact on further development of transformers and an even more thoughtful choice of materials in the future.

The lecture was extremely well received by all participants who are key Slovenian customers of Kolektor Etra. It addressed an area that is becoming increasingly important in modern power grids and international diagnostic circles, while also offering valuable practical knowledge for future projects.
