| QUALITY POLICY |

The Milan Vidmar (EIMV) Electric Power Research Institute has made itself distinguished as a leading Slovenian engineering and scientific-research institution for the area of electric power engineering and general energy. Its area of concern are power generation, transmission and distribution systems which it approaches from the economic and technologic perspective. It makes feasibility and implementation studies, expert reports, technological, environmental protection and other types of analyses and supervises quality and operation of electric power systems and equipment. Its services are being offered to power generation, transmission and distribution utilities, electrical industry, ministries, state and regional bodies as well as to several other partners from local administrations and industries.
The target of the Institute's persistent adherence to the adopted and in practice positively evaluated Quality Management System are:
- retention of the current status of the leading Slovenian engineering and scientific-research institution in the area of power engineering and general energy capable of satisfying requirements of the European market;
- while permanently adapting to the needs of its customers' market, the Institute's major concern is to strictly comply with the applicable European legislation, technical standards as well as rules and regulations. In the pursuit of this target, the Institute closely follows them to make itself capable of having them properly implemented in its work;
- constant training of its personnel and providing conditions to have the quality of their work improved;
- establishing a triple-fold partnership, i. e. the Institute's customers, management and personnel, in order to assure maximal satisfaction and positive creativity of any of its customers.
By having adopted the Quality Management System, the Milan Vidmar Electric Power Research Institute has committed itself to be meeting specifications of ISO 9001:2008 and to be constantly improving its Quality Management System efficiency.
The Institute's Quality Policy serves as a platform on which its decisions are taken and the set targets pursued. At least once a year the current state is reviewed and if important changes are detected in the market, the Policy is redefined to assure meeting new demands and thus resulting new targets. The Institute's personnel is acquainted with the Quality Policy by the intranet. The established triple-fold partnership enables it to propose and implement any needed change or addition.
