| FIELDS OF ACTIVITY OF THE POWER PLANT DEPARTMENT |

The main areas of the Power Plant Department activity are:
- work in construction of new power and industrial plants (studies for preparatory work, professional-technical examinations and similar),
- monitoring and determination of operational performance of power and industrial plants and their constituting parts (equipment, facilities and installations), and
- study towards solving operational issues of power and industrial plants.
To be able to cover the above areas, he Power Plant Department work is organised in two groups performing the following tasks:
- elaboration of technological basis for new power plants and reconstruction of the old and economically inefficient ones,
- development of quality (QA) and control (CA) assurance for power and energy plants,
- cause analyses for accidents taking place in electrical-mechanical equipment in power and industrial plants and proposal for adequate remedial measures,
- determination of residual life of critical power and industrial plant components and providing system basis for refurbishment of individual production sources,
- power plant refurbishment,
- professional-technical examinations of production plants made in conformance with applicable rules and recommendations,
- examinations, tests and measurements taken on power facilities, equipment and installations to assess their operability state
